With Christmas round the corner, the fakers and snide markets are heating up. It is one thing to buy a bag or a pair of pants, or shoes that turn out to be fakes, but to buy memory and rely on the description on the pack and utilise the said memory to store data, usually important data only to find the data is lost is another matter.

Good news you are not really mad after all.

Those of you living to play games on your Aquila Computers PC (hopefully you have one, if not why not?), will be familiar that after you have reluctantly packed up, and left your game to go to bed, as you begin to unwind and try to sleep. It begins! You can hear the game music, sound, and it comes back flooding into your mind. Don't be alarmed! You have not developed some kind of mental illness, and no it is not a psychotic episode you are experiencing.

Every new laptop computer has its own external power supply in addition to its internal batteries for use wherever there are no electrical power sockets. However due to the constant movements and general knock around these power supplies at times breakdown and malfunction, if not lost or misplaced in the office or on the train or bus.

The dangers to your data have been highlighted during the last few days in the national news yet again. The discovery of the perpetrators of the ransom-ware in US have been the stuff of the news bulletins. However this is nothing new, and it has been an ongoing and hidden story.

For the second time in the same week the problem presented was a difficult to comprehend situation. Both of the individuals had embarked on getting their data back by dismantling their hard disks. True, hard as it may be to comprehend, evidently the hard disk was not working (ie not accessing the data it contains) would be solved by disassembling the component and taking it apart.

With Official closing of Windows XP, the the launch and release of Ubuntu 14 and Linux Mint a veritable and surprisingly healthy software bundle and gaming ecosystems (Steam in !), there has never been a better time to switch to Linux.
